Overview of the Regulatory Journey of Psychotherapists in Ontario

Sarah Fraser is Director, Registration at the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Sarah joined CRPO in 2014 prior to proclamation of the Psychotherapy Act, 2007. At over 16,000 registrants, the number of practitioners registered with CRPO has grown exponentially. As a result, Sarah has gained experience addressing problems faced by a newly regulated and rapidly growing profession. In Sarah’s current role, she takes a right touch and risk-based approach to her work overseeing the Registration department and supporting the Registration Committee and Examination Committee.
