| About | Dr. Meg Kapil holds a PhD in Educational Psychology and an MA in Counselling Psychology, her research has focused on the intersections of stress regulation, self-regulated learning, mental health, and student success, and included theory development, new measures of academic wellbeing and coping self-efficacy, empirical studies, and curriculum delivered in schools. The school curriculum, called the Stress Stories Project, was co-created with public education partners to support students in regulating stress and enhancing wellbeing and learning outcomes. In addition to her counselling and supervisory work, Meg has served as an instructor and practicum coordinator in postsecondary institutions, she provides clinical supervision to both students and experienced clinicians, and has presented on a range of supervision topics. Her approach to supervision emphasizes reflection, collaboration, and growth within a supportive and ethically grounded framework. Meg’s clinical and supervisory experience spans private practice, community agencies, and postsecondary settings. In clinical practice, Meg supports children, youth, adults, and families across a broad spectrum of mental health and developmental needs. Her specialized training includes trauma (e.g., EMDR, IFS-EMDR, DBR) and neurodiversity-affirming approaches. |
