    Dear Colleagues

    Re: ScreamFree Marriage course

I am offering a course over the summer months in Region 2 for couples (in-person Sooke) and taking referrals for the fall online group. Both run Monday evenings.

This group is based on a successful brand that I developed in the last four years of providing therapeutic reflective reading groups for clients based solely on Bowen Theory. This theory works very well for this type of group I’ve discovered. I have over 11 years experience and training in Bowen Theory.

I assure you the title of the group/book is not helpful for many couples, but others, on the other hand, are very drawn to it. It is not a group for couples who “scream” at each other, but a group for ALL couples, even those not experiencing current difficulties. This therapist facilitated group runs like a book club with the goal of helping individuals to clarify for themselves the principles and values necessary to create a healthy couple life and how to make decisions based on those values. I assure you it is not about hanging out everyone’s “dirty laundry”, thus it will not focus on the sensitive events occurring in couple’s lives and therefore become uncomfortable for some. The group focuses on each person taking leadership in one’s marriage/couple as a way to achieve the best in the couple relationship. It is open to both members of the couple at the same time, or only one of the set. There is no problem with any participant being in this group while also working with a different therapist in individual or couple therapy. They are not the same and they are mutually beneficial.

I am happy to speak to anyone of you regarding this group. 778-677-2481 or email me: eliane@seatotree.ca

Thanks ahead of time for considering possible referrals.

Wow Eliane, This is fantastic. I love that it is based on differentiation theory. What books will be reviewed in the group?

      Hey There Tammy,

How are you? I retired from the BC Public Service this year and am now only providing private practice – online and in two locations, one in downtown Sooke and the other six miles to Sooke on the Victoria side of Sooke.

I only cover one book per group: ScreamFree Marriage. That’s the actual title of the group. I will have an advanced group based on a different group for Spring 2023. But first I will offer an online ScreamFree group in the fall.

      How is your practice going?

      Eliane
