    • Which of the supervision models covered in this module resonates most with you, and why?
    • The models I resonate with are the;
    • Feminists Theoretical Approaches – I see this as more of an overall mindset to both my work and how I supervise.
    • The Seven Eyed Model – This model resonates because I value the process/content of the various Modes. I find this the most overarching approach to supervision. I appreciate Mode 6 – the supervisor focus and Mode 7 the wider context of the supervision and psychotherapy as a whole.
    • The Competency- Based Supervision. – This resonates with me because I feel the core competencies of our profession should always be a continuous cycle of learning, refection and growth. We can become at times to comfortable and set in our ways, keeping a reflective stance on our core competencies allows us to truly be effective gatekeepers for our profession.

      Which models would you be most inclined to adopt in your practice?

    • The Seven-Eyed Model
    • Feminist Theoretical Approaches
    • To facilitate a responsive posture to their supervisory practice, most supervisors take an integrative approach combining two or more models. How might you embrace integration across your preferred models?

    I feel like there are several models that have some aspects that I already include in my supervision practice. Having said that because I supervise clinicians at many levels in their competency and practice – it makes sense to look broadly at what each model can offer. I do feel that the Cyclical Model and the Seven-Eyed Model offer the best conceptualisation of supervision for me – “the What’ – whereas the Feminist Theoretical Approach for me is more -‘the How”.

    Great start to crafting your supervision conceptual/theoretical frame, I look forward to seeing how this works for you in practice. I also use the frame of what, how, as well as a who and a why to simplify my conceptual approach. Also consider how your approach supports you to meet the needs of a new supervisee, an experienced clinician, someone who is anxious, or overconfident, as a way of putting your approach into practice.
