    Hello Damanpreet, wishing you well. Grief therapy weighs heavily on getting the client to just talk about their loved one and getting the client to share whatever they feel comfortable talking about. I find when it comes to grief counselling, it really takes our skills to a heightened level as it’s all about just being present, silent when appropriate and working from a perspective where we grief occurs when we lose someone we deeply care about. As we all know, grief is a natural process which is necessary to begin healing after a loss and allowing the client to openly engage with a trusted support is so important when it comes to dealing with the loss. Jamie Anderson has a great quote, “Grief is just love with no place to go.”
