My good friend, Carol Matthews, has written a book about her process of losing her husband entitled ” Minerva’s Owl: The Bereavement Phase of My Marriage”. I encourage my fellow members to consider this book for their clients. Of the numerous books that have been written about loss, Carol has given an original and thought provoking insight into this final phase of a marriage. “More that a handbook for the grieving, it reminds us to attend well to the art of living”.

    You can find it at:

Carol Matthews is the author of a number of other books and has won the Prism International’s 2017 Jacob Zilber Prize for Short Fiction for her short story “The Boat, as it Happened”.
