Guidance Sought

  • Posted by Damanpreet Kaur on May 6, 2024 at 8:50 pm

Grief/ Bereavement: Owing to me being a new immigrant & obviously owing to being from a different cultural background, I am facing a challenge in Handling Grief Cases. May someone guide me how to go about it or any books/blogs or videos I can watch regarding the same. Looking assistance from the group. More the suggestions, More the perspectives, more the insight I may get.

    Thanking in advance,

    Dear Damanpreet,

I’ve found that one of the most powerful ways of working through and acknowledging grief for clients is in group settings where experiences are shared. I’d very much recommend the groups organised by the Lower Mainland Grief Recovery Society — https://lmgr.ca — I know this isn’t a book or video, but hopefully it’s a helpful resource.

    Best wishes

    Philip
