Hi Joyce,

The short answer is that social workers have a government recognized college to register to, with more requirements than BCACC. Hopefully this will change in the future as I see we now have somewhere to place our continuing education credits; a necessary step to becoming a recognized college with all the requirements and benefits. I hope to see this change before I age out! Clinical counsellors are widely recognized and sought out.
