This training is designed for clinicians and therapists working with caregivers of children, adolescents, and even those who aim to involve caregivers in supporting their adult clients. Natasha will provide an emotion-focused framework for understanding problematic parenting patterns and will share tools and methods to encourage positive changes in caregivers’ attitudes and behaviors in a constructive and supportive manner. Additionally, this training includes a module offering practical strategies for handling difficult or adversarial co-parenting relationships that affect child and adolescent development and mental health.
What you’ll learn:
- Identify emotional patterns that contribute to challenging caregiving behaviors.
- Apply practical strategies to shift unhelpful emotional dynamics in caregivers.
- Use techniques to improve cooperation between co-parents in high-conflict cases.
- Understand key ethical and legal issues when working with caregivers facing resource limitations.
This training is accredited by the International Institute for EFFT as a half-day event.
