Queering Your Practice: Working Competently, Affirmingly and Confidently with LGBTQ2IA+ Clients

3 Hours of CE Credits.

This training provides much more than the ABCs of LGBT. Join Alice Curitz (she/her), founder and Clinical Director of Our Landing Place, a queer-centred therapy collective, as she guides you towards a deeper and more nuanced understanding of intersectional mental health in the LGBTQ2IA+ community that will support you as you begin or continue to work with LGBTQ2IA+ clients.

This workshop recording is available for 1 year from the time of purchase.

Through tangible and meaningful interactive learning activities, you will explore:

  • The needs of the LGBTQ2IA+ community through an intersectional and anti-oppressive lens
  • Considerations for individual, family, couples, partners, and group therapy with sexuality and gender diverse clients
  • Common stumbling points for clinicians working with the LGBTQ2IA+ community (and how to manage these if you come across them)
  • What it really means to be an ally as a mental health provider (whether you’re part of the LGBTQ2IA+ community or not)
